What Dreams Are Made Of...

My wife and I we're married last weekend. Like most weddings, this took months of planning: we had the perfect setting for the ceremony, another gorgeous setting for the rehearsal, the flowers, the invites, even color coordinated drink stirrers... As independent New Yorkers, we thought we could do everything ourselves. As I mentioned, we already planned every detail, even those color coordinated drink stirrers. No need for a wedding planner, right? But, then reality struck. Even after looking over every detail dozens of times, there were still things we missed—the details within the details. JoAnn was recommended to us and we arranged to meet her for dinner. Before our plates arrived, we could already tell that she was going to be a huge help. Those details we were concerned about. JoAnn solved those before we ordered. The details we never thought about. JoAnn took care of those before appetizers. For desert, she recommended the blueberry pie. “Trust me” she said. And, we did. While the pie was delightful, JoAnn was absolutely AMAZING. We’ve never, been able to call someone with the ability to answer every question we had. Not only that; but, every question was answered with a simple phone call or email. More importantly, JoAnn took care of many details before we even had time to worry about them. She made our special day calm, easy and delightful. In short, she was one of the best choices we have made as a couple. JoAnn Is an excellent source for information, resources and overall help. I cannot rave about her communication with me and my husband enough. She took care of things that we had no idea to even think of and addressed hiccups likes champion! It may sound like hyperbole but I wish we could use Joann's help going forward too but I will have to settle for recommending her highly to anyone getting married in the Hudson Valley.

JoAnn and her staff stepped in the week before my wedding and saved our special day from an incredibly unprofessional planner who left us high and dry. She was sympathetic, yet focused and determined to give us our day the way we had envisioned. She and her team met with many obstacles, including procuring a tent and all the rentals, and dealing with vendors who were close friends of the former planner. She never passed these stresses onto myself or my husband, and at the end of the day, JoAnn and her team saved our wedding. We cannot express our gratitude enough, and I only wish we had hired her sooner.

Joann provided advise and support for all aspects of my daughters wedding. She went above and beyond what was expected of her. She was available to us whenever we needed her. Her positive outlook reassured us throughout the planning and made the wedding day relaxed for my daughter and son-in-law.

JoAnn helped make my wedding day "everything I ever wanted my special day to be!! She is such a calming person that I knew right away that she was the planner for me, just like I knew right away that my groom was the one for me. :-) JoAnn did an excellent job!! Great experience!

Joann far exceeded my expectations as a wedding planner. Day or night if I needed her she was always a a phone call away:) Our wedding day was beautiful and every detail went unnoticed. My family and friends can't stop talking about how beautiful our wedding was. Because of Joann my wedding day went flawless. She had me close my eyes and brought me and my husband into the reception before my guests got to see it and we were blown away:) My wedding was gorgeous because of her and her expertise. We had gorgeous lighting, beautiful tall candelabras, beautiful tall center pieces, gorgeous linens, and the list goes on. She definitely helped us stay on budget and save money:)She made our candy bar gorgeous and our centerpieces were to die for:) Joann was great and we definitely recommend her services:) It really was a pleasure working with Joann:)

JoAnn did a fantastic job coordinating our wedding. We got married at a private residence on a hillside, which required bringing in ALL vendors and services that you would normally get at a banquet hall. Her knowledge of the area's best and most reliable vendors, as well as her willingness to work with new ones, made it all possible. She handled all of the relationships for us - we just had to explain what we were looking for. JoAnn always fought for our interests whenever necessary; she also provided a good sounding board for decisions. She has very good taste as well. We would highly recommend JoAnn to anyone!

When Tom and I decided to get married in the Hudson Valley, we were so unsure of who to turn to for help. A colleague of mine who had used her a few years ago had recommended JoAnn to us so I gave her a call. I felt so comfortable with her from the very first phone call. She was calming to speak to. She assured me that my wedding day would be spectacular without any added stress. She was right! She handled all of the planning and made our day a day to remember. My guests are still calling me to say how beautiful everything was. We had a dream and JoAnn and her staff made it happen! I would highly recommend her to any bride, especially if you are doing a tent wedding. There were so many details and we didn't have to deal with any of them. Her fee was well worth it, as she hooked us up with vendors that gave us such great deals that we ended up saving more than what her fee was. Her staff, Farrah, Heather, Tiffany and Amy were so professional and sweet. Our day was perfect thanks to all of them.

We were so glad that we decided to use What Dreams Are Made Of for our wedding planner. From the moment we met Joann we knew that she was the right planner for us. She was caring, helpful, and so much fun. She made planning our wedding delightful. I often felt like she was a family member! Our wedding was wonderful. We were concerned about staying on budget and with her help and vendor discounts, we actually stayed way under budget. we definately made the right choice.

I could not have been happier choosing JoAnn to help me deal and handle the stress of planning a wedding. Every single detail was perfect, and she made sure of it. She knows how to get the best prices and negotiate with other vendors; her professionalism, knowledge and attention to detail helped me have the wedding of my dreams without going over my budget. Anything I needed, she was right there to assist me. Even when I forgot my makeup bag at my house, she went and got it for me. I didn't have to worry about anything, it was wonderful! I highly recommend her to my friends and to all brides!

JoAnn was a Godsend throughout the planning process and on the wedding day itself. She was amazing! We were planning our Rockland County wedding while living in Virginia, and JoAnn was able to recommend great vendors, and helped us negotiate contracts and prices that worked with our budget. The week of the wedding, JoAnn worked miracles. A water main blew out our guests' hotel, my husband's grandfather was sick, our priest was in the hospital... all things that could have made our big day collapse before our eyes. She handled it ALL, even calling all of our out of town guests two days before the wedding having gotten them new hotel reservations and then rearranging our shuttle to the reception for the new hotel so they wouldn't have to drive. Absolutely amazing. I cannot imagine doing it without her, and of all the vendors and services on the wedding day, she gets my (and my husband's) highest recommendation!!

One of the best decisions we made for our wedding was hiring Jo Ann and her staff to plan our wedding. We had to cut back on our budget and just when I thought that we may need to either cancel or postpone the wedding, Jo Ann came up with some really great ideas to save money. She also hooked us up with some great vendors that were willing to offer us some really nice discounts. We really didn't have to sacrifice much. Her assistant, Farrah did our centerpieces and that saved us a ton of money. And they were just beautiful. They were exactly what we had wanted. We saved a lot on menu cards, ceremony programs and escort cards because she helped us out by printing them for us. The few extras that we were forced to give up weren't even noticed by our guests. Everyone had a great time. Thank you Jo Ann for helping us to have the wedding that we had always dreamed of!

JoAnn and staff made our day magical. We are so pleased that we decided to go with her for our "Day of" coordination. She took away all of the stress and left us with a day of enjoyment and happy memories.

I would never hire anyone else but JoAnn to coordinate my wedding, simply put, she is the best!....her company's name says it best. "what dreams are made of" truly made our wedding day magical. thank you for putting up with me over the phone, for accommodating my quirky demands and expectations, for completing my tasks, the decorations, and dealing with the stress. from day 1 you have been consistent and Nathan & I truly appreciative of it!!

One of the best decisions I made was hiring JoAnn and it is totally worth spending the money to have a Day of Coordinator. I know that she was a big part of things going well at the venue (and if there was anything wrong, I never heard about it because of her). Her staff helped set up our room perfectly. They made sure all of our many items were packed up and put in my parents' care. She was more than just a day of coordinator-she helped us so much in advance, especially with resolving some issues we had with our reception venue and communicating with them. She was just such a reassuring presence throughout the day and in advance and I felt very confident because I knew JoAnn would be taking care of everything. She also got along with my parents extremely well and just felt like extended family. The only negative I can say is that I wish JoAnn and her staff had exerted themselves a bit more during our receiving line and pushed guests to move through it. We hadn't talked about this in advance, so I hadn't told her to and I'm sure she didn't want to get too bossy with guests or our wedding party, but I would have liked it. The slowness of the line was really the only thing that "went wrong" at our wedding so that's not much of a negative anyway. JoAnn is also extremely reasonably priced. You won’t go wrong with her. I highly recommend her and her staff.

JoAnn and her staff made our wedding venue look beautiful. They also made a beautiful bridal bouquet, which received many compliments, and found a bus service to transport guests that was very affordable compared to estimates we had received from bus companies. Great job.
