A Night in Bloom

I honestly do not even know where to start, other than to say that Heather is AH-MAZING! First of all, she is sweet as can be and very communicative throughout the whole planning process. She is so enthusiastic and passionate about her work, and it really shines through in the finished product. When Heather arrived to drop of the bouquets on my wedding day, I felt like one of my best friends had just shown up. I was SO EXCITED to see her and the flowers, and they were more beautiful than I could have imagined! I basically told Heather my wedding colors, and she took it from there, suggesting the most amazing flowers for the bouquets. She thoughtfully wrapped them in ribbon and lace to coordinate perfectly with our dresses. She was even able to get beautiful ranunculas for my bouquet that another florist had told me would be impossible because they were out of season. I told her that I wanted unique, fun boutonnieres, and they turned out beautifully. There was nothing "cookie cutter" about anything that Heather got her hands on! For centerpieces, I dropped off my collection of vintage bottles that I literally dug out of the ground. Some of them were a bit old and crusty, so I really wasn't sure how they would work out. Heather turned them into magic on the tables! The colors were breathtaking, and the roses had opened up to be the most tremendous roses I have ever seen. When we went to Heather for a trial before the wedding, we picked up some flowers at the grocery store at the last minute to pop in the bottles and test them out... before we left, Heather turned these grocery store flowers into little bombs of happiness in mason jars for us to take home. To sum it up, Heather takes such great care in preparing each and every flower that passes through her hands. She also takes the time to make her clients feel like they are the only bride in town. I made half of my centerpieces myself from manzanita branches, and she offered all kinds of tips on how to work with them. She even called me during her busiest weekend just to tell me that my linens had arrived because she was so excited about how pretty they were! In the midst of all of my pre-wedding stress, that phone call lifted my mood and made my day. This review may sound rambly, but I cannot recommend Heather highly enough. She will ensure that you have the most beautifully prepared flowers for your special day, she will make your visions burst to life, and she will be one of the most pleasant vendors that you work with, hands down. Heather, you rock :)

Heather is wonderful to work with. I got married durnig hurricane Irene and Heather was so flexible in delivering the flowers early, because we had to move the ceremony up. She was excited and happy to work with the colors and flowers I chose and did a wonderful job! The flower arrangements and table tops she set up were absolutely stunning!

OMG! Heather is AMAZING! First of all, she is SOOO nice and fun to talk to. The flowers were something that I thought I didn't care about - however, when I saw how beautiful they came out, I realized that they/SHE is one of the vendors that I am SO happy with! I wasn't always sure that Heather understood what I wanted because its hard to communicate through email. But once we discussed everything, I felt like I was in good hands. Well, I didn't know how good it was! The suggestions Heather made combined with my ideas just came out amazing. Heather is truly passionate about her job and loves what she does - and it shows! We had amazing flowers that didn't break our budget. And I'm pretty sure I had the most beautiful bouquet ever :) Heather wrapped the bouquet in material from a vintage victorian dress - who goes to that much trouble to get the details perfect?

We couldn't have asked for a better florist! Heather was extremely knowledgeable, creative, talented, professional, helpful, friendly and always quick to respond... she is undeniably the best florist we could have hoped for and I recommend her wholeheartedly. She made our dream wedding at Mohonk come true- offering design insight and helping me visualize and achieve the perfect look for both ourselves and our venue. Heather was always very quick to respond, made changes quickly, and even provided us with flowers (without charging us) for the top of our cake when our venue wedding planner surprised us the last week by saying icing flowers wouldn't work. It was a good thing, because Heather's looked much better than any icing flowers ever could have. My bouquet and bridesmaid bouquets were stunning, the centerpieces were breathtakingly gorgeous- more than I ever could have hoped for. Our guests loved them as well, and were squabbling over who got to take home a centerpiece! I had to make sure to reserve one for ourselves, and if I could have would have taken it with me on our honeymoon.

Heather was absolutely amazing to work with, and she is worth every penny. We had a rather large order - with a wedding party of 16 (!!!) and plus we needed to get a Chuppah placed on a hill that is typically very windy. She did a fabulous job on everything. I also loved that she came up with some cost effective ideas that were still unique and gorgeous. I liked that she specializes in event floristry, so I felt that we had her utmost attention throughout the whole process, as she was not busy with other smaller jobs like a regular florist would be. She was also so professional, and has such enthusiasm for her work. I am so happy that I got to work with her.

Heather is very professional and takes pride in her work. She cares about you and listens to what you want. You can tell Heather loves what she does by the beautiful arrangements and flowers she chooses. It was a pleasure to work with Heather, her enthusiasm for weddings and helping to make your day special is apparent. Communication, creativity and flexibility were outstanding! Pricing was very reasonable. I would highly recommend A Night in Bloom!

Working with Heather was a dream. Our first meeting happened at Starbucks and from then my husband and I knew we were working with someone who is extremely flexible and takes what you say seriously. We were on a budget when it came to flowers. We wanted to keep things simple, yet elegant. I told Heather our wedding colors and browsed through her photos on her website to get an idea of her style and what I wanted for our bridal party. She accommodated our needs and fit within our budget and the end product was amazing. She made sure that our order got to where it needed to be on time during the wedding day. She worked with our venue site to set up our centerpieces and the flowers lasted all day. I was very impressed. I was extremely happy with the outcome and wouldn't give any other florist the time of day.

Heather and her team truly created the wedding of our dreams... and stuck to our budget. From our first meeting Heather made the planning process fun. She is creative knowledgable and passionate about her work. As an out of state bride I appreciated how she stayed in constant communication. On the day of the wedding I couldn't believe the work she had done. From the bouquets to a breathtaking arbor for the ceremony and towering centerpieces for the reception we could not have been more pleased. I am still in shock at how much we got for our budget. I would recommend A Night in Bloom to every bride!

I can't say enough great things about Heather & A Night In Bloom. She was professional, dependable, creative and most importantly, really, really cares. She made the whole process fun, brought wonderful ideas to the table and the results were spectacular. If you need a florist for any occasion, you need not look any further.

From the moment I saw Heather's website I knew she was the florist for me. I knew I would be dealing with a real person who takes pride in her work. It was important for me to work with as many independent businesses as possible when planning my wedding. Heather has an unbelievable sense of style and since I wasn't your typical girly pink bride I knew she could deliver exactly what I had in mind. (My bouquet was white peonies and roses with vintage rhinestone brooches mixed in). It was AMAZING! (People were posing with it at the reception!) Heather is friendly, professional, patient and easy to work with. She will give you an honest opinion but isn't offended if you don't listen. She understands the importance of a bride's wedding day and works her hardest to ensure your vision becomes a reality. I would recommend A Night In Bloom to anyone planning a wedding in the Hudson Valley!

Heather really listened to what we wanted for our wedding and the flower creations she came up with were really right in line with our taste and budget! She was easy to work with and easy going..perfect for the wedding business! We highly recommend her!

Heather did an amazing job! I wanted things to be simple, rustic, yet have a touch of romanticism to it. She got things to a T with the style I wanted. I kept looking at our bouquets and commenting on how amazing they were. She definitely exceeded my expectations. Heather is extremely creative and definitely tries to get to know her clients and their personalities so that she can come through with their vision for the day. She is absolutely delightful to work with. The best thing was being able to go to the wholesaler with her and take a look around. She sticks within your budget and tries to give you as many options as you can. There are no surprise charges that come along later on. The week of the wedding was great - Heather kept in touch as she was putting things together which definitely made me a calmer bride! I highly recommend using A Night in Bloom, as you will not be disappointed!

I can't say enough about Heather Lundy's job at my wedding in May 2009. She did a beautiful job, and took care of every detail of the flowers that day. I told her generally what I was looking for and what flowers I liked and she put together arrangements that were so beautiful and exquisite but at an amazing price. Everything looked gorgeous that day and I knew that what I would be worrying about was the thunderstorms that day and not the flower arrangements. Thank you for all your hardwork.
